The Apostle Paul was concerned with the strength of the churches,
not just making converts. In September I shared what I believe
God is leading us to do: "Strengthen the churches". As we become
healthy and strong as a church, we will seek God and go to other
churches and assist them through God's word. Maybe God would
want you to be a part of this work.

Announcements for December 20, 2009
Christmas Caroling: We will be Christmas caroling in East Randolph on Wednesday, December 23 and all are invited to join us - no mtalen necessary! This has been a great tradition the past few years and a lot of fun. Please meet at the church at 6:15 pm.
Christmas Eve Service: Our Christmas Eve service will be held at 6:30 pm. We hope you can join us.
Church Library: The busy Christmas season is upon us but maybe sitting back with a good book and a cup of tea is a wonderful way to de-stress! Or gather your family around and watch a good DVD (we now have several new Christmas choices). If you prefer a strong Christian reading, try the wonderful Lamplighter books. Not sure which one to choose? Ask Ingrid and she would be happy to help you out. There are also new lighter reading books, many in a series, from authors we all like (all Christian of course). So check out our wonderful reading or viewing from our library - and don't forget to ask ingrid if you need any help.
Help the Homeless this Holiday: The Barre Baptist Fellowship is collecting the following items for small gift bags for the homeless in our area: hard candy, disposable razors, chocolates, oranges, socks, gloves, hats, and scarves. These items can be used - but MUST be in good condition. If you would like to donate, please do so in the box in the foyer. More details are available on the bulletin board.

Men's Monday Morning Bible Study: Starting January 18 the men's Monday morning Bible study will start a new study on the sovereignty of God. We will be ordering the book "Not By Chance" on December 29. If you are interested, please let Marty know.
Secret Sister? For those ladies participating in the Secret Sister program, please don't forget her... drop her a line.
Special Music: A new sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in the back for special music through the end of the year. We encourage those who are interested to please sign up to do special music on one or more Sundays. See Pam Hinkle with questions.
Nursery Workers: Do you love young children? If you answered "yes", please prayfully consider working in the nursery once a month. If interested, please see Brenda Moses, who would be happy to sign you up today!
Senior Ladie's Group: The senior ladies meet the first Thursday of each month at 11:30 am at the church to pray before heading out for a nice lunch together. Please see Bev Hansen for more details.
